Best Times to Buy Kindle E-readers and Tablets
So you’re wanting to get the best price on a Kindle Paperwhite or other e-reader or tablet, but when do Kindles go on sale so you can take advantage of Kindle e-reader sales? Here’s your cheatsheet!
- Valentine’s Day: In past years, we’ve occasionally seen fairly good prices on Kindles and tablets for Valentine’s Day. Sometimes these sales aren’t as good as other sales throughout the year, but if you’re needing a new Kindle now or not wanting to wait, then February is a good time to check to see if they’re running any deals

- Prime Early Access Sale: In recent years, Amazon has also introduced what they’re calling the “Early Access Sale”…which is basically when Prime members have early access to Black Friday deals. This often includes excellent sale on Kindles and Fire tablets!
- Black Friday/Cyber Monday: In the lead up and week surrounding Black Friday and Cyber Monday, you can also be practically guaranteed that you’re going to get a great deal and find Kindle Paperwhite on sales plus all their other e-readers and tablets. So when is the best time to buy Kindles? If you’re wanting to find a sale on Kindles, they can pop up at anytime…but your best bet will be to keep an extra eye out in the months of February, July, October, and November. Those are the months we see Kindle for sale prices the most often!
