When you’re wanting to find free book content as a Prime member, Prime Reading is the place to look! Prime Reading is Amazon’s exclusive library of free content for Prime members…but while most people think of it as an ebook library, you can also get audiobook content here.
To filter the Prime Reading books to only those with audiobooks available, simply visit the Books with Audible Narration in Prime Reading page. Here, you’ll be able to see all the ebooks in Prime Reading that have an audiobook version.
2. Look for the “Read and Listen for Free” Button to See Free Titles
Unfortunately, sometimes you’ll discover that not all the ebooks with an audiobook version on the Prime Reading page will be available for free with your Prime membership. Occasionally, ebooks listed here simply mean that an audiobook version is available and you can buy it if you want.
However, there are still lots of free audiobooks that come with your Prime Membership! To find the ones that are included for free you’ll need to look for the “Read and Listen for Free” button on each ebook’s listing page. If you see this button, you’ll know it’s available at no charge.
3. Click the “Read and Listen for Free” Button to Download the Ebook/Audiobook
After finding a book with a free audiobook version available, your next step is to click the “Read and Listen for Free” button. This will download the Prime Reading ebook version to your Kindle reading app.
Once inside the Kindle app, you will need to click to download the audiobook version from inside the ebook. (To do this on my android phone, I tap the text of the ebook once and then the option to download the audiobook shows up at the bottom of the screen. I assume it’s a similar process on other devices).
Once you start listening to the audiobook from within the Kindle app, it will automatically sync with your Audible app so you can listen through whichever app you prefer.
